Much of their young lives have been spent within the framework of Kids Are First & it's employees. Congratulations on a job well done. We do appreciate it!" - parent of a 2 & 4 year old.

"My children have learned so many things under the care of your staff: sharing, cooperation, academic skill & creative skills. They went to public school with so much knowledge that they acquired while at Kids Are First - knowledge that I alone could not have provided them with." - parent of a 4 & 5 year old.

Curriculum Programs for Infant through After-School.

The classrooms and outdoor areas are an important part of our curriculum. We plan classrooms and outdoor areas very carefully, selecting a wide variety of learning materials from each area of our curriculum goals.

Infants ( 0-10 months ):

At Kids Are First, babies are kept on their own personal schedule. They are only in cribs while sleeping, so throughout the day your baby will be exploring, interacting with other babies and learning through music and song. Babies are taken outdoors twice a day and are given exercise and baby massage each day.

Young Toddlers ( 10 months - 17 months ) / Older Toddlers (18 months - 2 years):

Our active learning curriculum begins with this group. They enjoy group time with books & music, art activities, cooking, manipulatives, active centers and outdoor playtime.

Preschool ( 2- 5 years ):

Our pre-school aged children flourish in an environment of theme-based learning opprotunities. Each week presents a new curriculum theme, learning through art, nursery rhyhms, music, colors, shapes, cooking, field trips, stories, finger-plays, manipulatives, active centers and outdoor play time.

After School Program:

Kids Are First provides afterschool care for school age children through 12 years. Each day students participate in theme based learning through games, art, field trips, cooking, sports and movies.

Lunch Program:

Monday through Thursday children are served a hot meal in a family style setting that teaches them important skills such as serving themselves, pouring their own milk, good table manners and practicing the "golden rule". Friday is our sack lunch day for all age groups.
